The Government Running A Business

What is the business that the government operates which is a total mess? While you can point to Amtrak, I am referring to the United States Post Office. Many will claim this entity is separate from the Federal Government. Do not buy it. This is as government as it gets.

Did you notice the head of the Post Office was in front of Congress begging for money? It seems this entity, which has a monopoly on private letters, is running out of money. Without help from Congress they will have to stop paying some of their bills. Well, maybe we should let the Post Office fail?

Of course, this is another entity which is in trouble with a unionized workforce. The Postal Inspectors Union is being offered early retirement. My question is how about layoffs? Oh, that cannot be done when there is a union involved. Therefore, this entity will not be profitable since it cannot reduce it's labor expense. Once again the unions strike.

We are seeing the spreading of this mentality with the Obama administration. Everyone will be on Capitol Hill asking for money. The ones leading the charge are the unionized workforces trying to get more money for inferior work. Actually, the postal workers are one of the few who truly earn their money. Yet, we have the teacher unions screwing up our schools while passing a bunch of morons. The UAW and the Teamsters do even warrant a rant. Their influence is highly noted in companies such as GM.

When will America wake up. Obama is taking this country to a point where it might not recover. To be honest, that doesn't really bother me. We might need to blow this entire thing up and start anew. The average person is so clueless it simply astounds me. Well, they will be the ones slaughtered like sheep.

Move To State Run Nation

Did you catch the latest proposal out of Obama? He has asked Congress for the authority to have the Treasury take control of any non bank financial company it deems a risk to the broader economy. Presently, this power is granted only over the banks. (Read article here).

They like to call Obama a socialist. It is becoming apparent that he is part that. This move shows how he is turning this country into a fascist state. The government is going to assume all control over every aspect of people's lives. He is quickly moving us on this course.

Obama is all about power. He believes power should reside within the hands of the government. This is 180 degrees opposite of the notion upon which this country was founded upon. Individual freedoms and liberties are going to vanish.

We are seeing a remaking of the 1920s and 1930s when Hitler assumed control. He used the same method of putting all the power in the hands of the Nazis. His agenda proceeded without any negotiation from the opposing viewepoints. We are seeing this played out again. It will be interesting to see how aggressively they go after the media to take that over.

The stock market was right to hate this guy. His first 100 days are a train wreck. He is undoing 225+ years of history in a matter of months. All this is his approach to giving more power to the government. We will see less control over our lives in the future. It is time for the seeds of the revolution to get going.

Bush The Savior

George Bush went ahead and gave the money to the automobile makers. He was determined to save the industry believing that the economy could not stand the collapse of this industry. It is the government's job to ensure the solvency of these companies.

My opinion is that Bush is a misguided fool on this matter. He is just delaying the inevitable. The United States auto makers are going to fail unless a radical shift in business practices is undertaken. Now, there is not much incentive for the management to change anything. At the same time, the unions will resist making any concessions of pay. In the end, we will be in the same situation again.

Bush was lamenting this week on his legacy. This is a dangerous thing to be doing when there is a major crisis on the table. Naturally, Bush does not want to be known as the President that let the automakers fold. This certainly went into his decision. Bush secured his legacy at the expense of America.

One of the contingencies of the deal is that a workable model needs to be in place by the end of March. If not, all the money given needs returning. That makes total sense. These companies come to the government because they do not have the funds to get through the next 30 days but they will be able to return billions at the end of the first quarter. Does Bush think they are going to put it in the bank and earn 1% interest. Of course not; they will blow through that money like water. They will be broke in the next 90 days.

So what is Bush's legacy? That he achieved a state of socialism within a 120 days period, thus wiping out 230 years of democracy. The fact that he went against the wishes of the elected officials in Congress shows that Bush is a rogue dictator. Everyone who resisted this argument by the left should now be convinced that Bush cared little for the legalities of our society. He made a decision that might help his legacy but will screw the American people. Thanks George, you putz.

Bush The Socialist

George Bush, not Barack Obama, will go down as the President who started the trend towards Socialism. It was under his command that the largest government intervention took place. Who would have imagined even this time last year that the Federal government would have controlling interests in the banks with the possibility of acquiring stakes in the automobile manufacturers. To those who believe in the principles that made the United States the world leader, this is nausiating.

The Bush Administration will be known for their incompetance. They failed miserably in leading this country. Everywhere one looks, there are signs of another failed Bush nominee. The latest revelation regarding Madoff once again shows how the SEC was non-existent. At the same time, Paulson is running the Treasury like it is his own personal checking account. These two entities are at the heart of the financial mess.

Now we get Obama. I give him credit; he doesn't hide his Socialistic beliefs. He never denied his high regard for the Marxist professors in college. Obama is a believer in big government. He also thinks it is the only entity which can solve problems. Sadly, he is completely mistaken. The governments track record is one of failure. This is the latest in a series of programs that do not work.

What went largely unnoticed (or ignored) by the mainstream media is that Bush gave oversight to foreign entities at the recent summit with the other world leaders. Now, they can probe into United States insitutions to decide if we are operating properly. This is a radical move towards a world government. I do not believe this is what the Founding Fathers had in mind. Welcome to the New World Order.

So, what can we expect to have happen? Have faith that no matter what Obama and Congress set forth, it will not work. They are trying to solve economic issues by throwing money at it. We have seen this movie before. By this time next year, life in America will be radically different. If you want to see what it is like, go look at England or France. This is the model our respected leaders will follow.

Socialism is on the agenda and we have George Bush to thank for starting that movement. Another 60s child bites us in the ass.

Is this really happening?

This election is really starting to scare me. The recent events of the government were enough to make me realize that our society is going in the wrong direction. However, nothing is comparing to what I am witnessing now.

Obama's true colors are really starting to show through. There was an audio uncovered that he recorded on PBS a number of years ago. It seems that he feels the Supreme Court never properly addresses the issue of wealth redistribution during the civil rights movement. Are you kidding me? Who is this guy to question what the Founding Fathers put together.

It appears some feel the Constitution is limited and there are some who are excluded by it. This is such a bunch of crap. This document was created for all Americans regardless of ethnic makeup. The fact that it does not give preferential treatment to anyone is upsetting to some. Well, I have a perfect solution for you. Get the hell out!!!

It is time that we took our government back from these type of people. If we wanted a socialistic system, we would move to France. The fact that we are here shows our belief in capitalism.

The government seems to think it is alright to take your money. Anyone who tries to do that in the private sector is guilty of theft. Yet the government can do it legally. And the bastards (bitches so as not to be sexist) have no problem digging deeper into your pockets at will. If they need money, they take it.

Now, Obama proclaimed himself to be the best steward for society. What a bunch of crap that is. Where does he get off thinking that he ought to take money from anyone to give it to another? That is not public service; that is thievery. It is time we call it like it is.

Anyone who thinks the government is your friend is a fool. I only hope America wakes up before it is too late. If not, there is always Mexico.

Over The Top

Are you one of those who feels that I am too "over the top" with my views. Many want to describe me as a radical extremist. I laugh when I hear that comparison. People are consistently trying to put me in a box politically. Because of my detest for socialism and communism, they believe I must be a conservative. Yet when I attack the religious nuts, I am a liberal. The truth is I am neither. What I am is angry at the way things are going.

I have news for everyone, this country is going to crap. If you fail to see this, you are blind. I know, this sounds like the typical rhetoric from someone aging that the world isn't the same. Hell, they thought society was ending when Sinatra came around. And Elvis. According to some, we needed to pack it in then.

In actuality, this situation is different. I am not talking about the moral fabric of this nation. What is happening is that we are moving from a successful system that rewarded risk, ingenuity, and achievement with one that promotes laziness and welfare. This is the reality of the circumstances of today.

I read a stat that stated roughly 43% of America receives some type of assistance from the government. This is not something that I doubt. Also, this is a number that will increase with the retirement of all the baby boomers in the next 10 years. What does this all mean?

It means the end of life as we know it. The great society that we called the American Dream is dead. We will see a shift over the next few decades towards our demise. Socialist ideals are almost too powerful to overcome. The political landscape is securing this.

How do I arrive at this conclusion? Simple. What happens when the people dependent upon the government passes the 50% mark? What campaign promises are politicians going to make to get elected? The answer is more handouts. A society that has more than half it's people relying on the government for support is on the socialistic path.

Those who believe this is a good thing were absent during history class. Consider what happened in a couple hundred years. We went from non-existent to the most powerful country in the world. We did this in the areas of politics, finance, and military. Countries which are 10-20 times older were surpassed by us. The system and qualities fostered in our system created this success.

Where were the socialistic countries? During WWII they were getting overrun by Hitler. It took our involvement to save their asses. What about their economies? Who rebuilt Europe after the War. The good ole U.S. of A.

The liberal economic policies work in theory. Actually, they are more effective in theory than capitalism. However, in reality they fail. The absence of the profit motive removes the ingenuity and creativity. If you want an example of a country without this, look at Italy since the end of WWII.

What does this all have to do with being over the top? It starts with the great need to get your attention. You are asleep at the wheel. The media and politicians are hoodwinking the people they are suppose to serve. Unless people wake up, we will soon be at the point where there is no turning back. This will certainly cause an upheaval by many. History proves that when the gap between rich and poor is too great, uprising occurs.

It is time to take this country back. Begin by re-evaluating all that you believe. Your mind is clouded by lies and misleading concepts. Think about the consequences of your decisions.
