Is this any surprise?

After this week, does anyone really think that Obama has any clue how to fix this economy? He is proving himself to be nothing more than a political operative for the far left lobbyists. If there is a liberal agenda out there, Obama will promote it. Welcome to the age of socialism.

Obama talked about bipartisan decisions. He also campaigned as a centralist. However, it is turning out to be that he truly is a far left zealot. Now, we are seeing how he believes the economy should be run: by the government. The free market system is the enemy in his opinion.

The unions are loving what they are hearing. Sadly, this will be another nail in the productivity of American enterprise. The unions are the very entity which destroys the foundation which built many worldwide powerhouses. They stifle growth and creativity in the name of equality.

It turns out Obama was pandering to the unions. In a speech, he says that he believes the cardcheck bill is a good one. This will increase the strength of unions substantially. They will be able to organize with just 50% of the vote. In addition, ballots no longer are going to be secret. Welcome to the return of the days when people are cornered by three thugs and told how to vote. It seems we already went down this road.

This article provides a wonderful summary of what Obama is promoting.

As this article so aptly points out, I guess President Obama is clueless about how the auto manufacturers got into this situation they are in.  Does bad labor contracts ring a bell?  Is there anyone out there who remembers that GM is being killed by legacy costs fulfilling terms of the contract to members who are no longer working?  Can anyone tell me the three industries which have the most unionized personnel?  Government. Auto manufacturers. Airlines.  While we are at it, which of those three are doing well?  The answer: NONE.

Unions had their place in this country.  They were necessary at the start of the last century since workers were being abused by employers.  Conditions were unsafe in addition to people having to work long hours without breaks.  Child labor was also a problem.  However, over the last 100 years, many of these problems were solved by governmental law.  Child labor is now illegal. There are laws passed limiting that number of hours a week anyone can work.  Thus, the benefits the unions provided is already taken care of by law.

So what do the unions provide?  In my opinion, nothing.  Everywhere I look where unions are involved seems to be wrought with incompetence and laziness.  People are overpaid while companies are being strangled.  The idea of sameness is the antithesis of competition.  We became the world leader through this one concept.  Yet, Obama and his contemporaries seem against this system.

Welcome to anarchy 2009.

Rioting In The Streets

America is the land of the free and the home of the brave. We are a relatively young country as compared to the Far East and Western Europe. The United States became the world leader in less that 200 years. Our economy grew faster and longer than any other nation in history. Presently, we are the longest standing government in the world. Yet, our political leadership seems intent on bringing us closer to a model that is used by the governments in Europe.

As I write this, they are rioting in the street. At the meeting in Davos, the trade unions are protesting the fact that leaders missed the economic collapse which led to the current situation. Well, too bad. What did the leadership of the unions do about it? Where was their warning? Obviously they sat back while the circumstances unfolded also.

If we want a glimpse into what our future is going to look like, we only need to look at those countries in Europe. Germany and France are experiencing national strikes. Britain is having the same thing in addition to a forecast that says their recession will last until 2025. Gee, this is something that we want to move towards.

Labor traditionally was the avenue people used to overthrow the government. It happened in Germany in the last century. Hitler got the labor people behind him which catapulted him to power. How did that work out for them? Seems like this is going to repeat itself.

Here in the states, we have seen labor play a large role in the destruction of the automobile manufacturers (notice I didnt give them full responsibility). Their negotiations of contracts which were not fundamentally sustainable is what doomed the Big Three. Yet, you will never get a labor guy to see that. Alas, that is one of the reasons why the Japanese auto makers are kicking the crap out of the American companies.

At the end of the day, labor is one of the monkey wrenches in a viable economic system. They want to share in the rewards while assuming none of the risk. A union negotiates a guaranteed contract in an effort to protect its members. Sadly, this stifles creativity and individuality. Sameness is the objective.

Personally, I cannot wait until people here in the United States are rioting in the streets. Widespread rioting is exactly the wake up call this country needs. Sadly, with the corruption of the media, the anger will not be focused in the proper area. People will get angry with the big, bad corporations instead of with the cheating politicians. They are the ones who are causing most of the damage.

It is time people started to wake up. A revolution has already started. Which side are you on?

"Stimulus" Support Waning

There is hope for those of us who see the government as the central evil in our lives. If there is a way to screw something up, the government will find it. That seems to be the nature of that beast.

Anyway, support for Obama's insane spending plan appears to be waning. Republicans in the Senate are following in the footsteps of their House counterparts. At the same time, some moderate Democrats are getting into the mix. The fact that there is a bit of delay in it's passage is allowing people to really look at the bill. And, what they are finding is very little stimulus.

Different groups and economists are estimating that between 12%-25% of the bill offers actual stimulus. The rest is pork. Thus, a $850 billion package is overwhelming payoffs to those organizations and groups which supported the corrupt who are in office now. Before anyone gets hell bend at the attack on Democrats, I will say that if the Republicans were in control, the NRA and Smith & Wesson would be in line for billions. As it stands, the liberal organizations are profiting.

What is upsetting is that you and I (and our children) are going to be stuck with the tab for this garbage. Once again, the politicians, with the help of the media, succeeded in scaring the American people into believing that we need their help. The truth is that America would be better if the government just got out of the way. If we got rid of every politician and government employee, the country would be a better place. There would be a period of adjustment but we would prevail. Americans are funny that way.

However, we will not see that happen anytime soon. The next four years is going to see a continuation of the last 8 years. What you say. NO!!!!! Obama is all about change. HORSECRAP! There is no change going on. Obama is going to expand the power and control of the government just like George W. Bush did. It is that plain and simple. If you do not believe me, maybe it is time to pull your head out of your ass and read the facts. This "stimulus" package is the first in a series of steps which will expand the role of government. It is bad enough that they screwed up education, Social Security, Medicaid, and anything else they are involved in. Now, they want to mess up healthcare too.

The revolution is all about taking back what was given to us by the Founding Fathers. Our government is corrupt, broke, and in need of overhaul. A liar who is a product of that corruption organization called the United States Senate will do nothing to make things any different. In the end, they are all the same. Bush screwed America. Now it is Obama's turn.

California Business

Anyone want to offer a guess why California is in so much difficulty financially?  Obviously, this state has been bad for business for a number of years.  This is evidenced by the mass exodus of businesses out of the state.  Of course, this situation is magnified when a recession hits.

Over regulation is one of the main reasons why industries are packing up and moving.  Here is an article that details how small businesses are affected by a government policy.  Once again, the leadership in California takes them one step closer to the edge.  No wonder the Governor of that state is knocking on the Feds door.  Sadly, they are broke also.

All Those Bad Bonuses

President Obama harshly criticized the bonuses paid to Wall Street executives as "shameful" and "irresponsible".  This falls right in line with the politicians hammering away on business people in an effort to take more power away from the people.  Actually, President Obama calling this a stimulus package is really what is shameful and irresponsible.

Anyway, there is a flip side to the high bonuses paid to these Wall Street executives: taxes. Contrary to the rhettoric, the rich do pay taxes.  According to the NY Post, those hated tycoons received $33 billion on 2007 and another $18+ billion in 2008.  For some, it is an improvement.  I am sure President Obama will not be happy until those numbers are $0.

Here is the problem:  New York loves those bonuses.  It is tax revenue for them.  The decrease in bonuses is going to cost them over $1 billion in tax receipts over the next year.  I would surmise that Obama will get his wish in reducing the number in '09 so NY better get used to it.

But wait, there is more.  The mayor of NYC is announcing cuts of up to $1 billion due to a growing gap between revenues and expenses.  (read article here) Now let us see who is affected.  According to this story, it is the 23,000 city workers who will be laid off.  So, the ones who were making the bonuses lost those bonuses, thus costing the ones who swept Wall Street their jobs. Notice how hating the rich plays out.

NYC has been a mess for years.  However, this situation shows how the wealthy are actually the ones supporting the municipalities.  It is a good lesson for politicians to learn who they are demonizing.  It just might be the people who are funding everything.

Public Service Announcement-ICE

Here is a tidbit that should be done immediately. It checked out on snopes so it is valid. Emergency personnel, in the event you are injured and unconscious might check your cellphone for the person closest to you to contact. It should be listed under the name ICE (In Case of Emergency).

Make the Paramedics job easier with ICE. ICE stands for "In Case of Emergency". If you add an entry to the contacts list of your cell phone under the name "ICE", Paramedics will call that number if they find you unconscious or...
Naturally this is not an end to itself but rather another method in case something happens to you.

Housing Is The Solution

It finally seems that the politicians (some of them anyway) are finally getting it.  In spite of the massive spending bill which amounts to a non-stimulus package, there are some with the idea that we need to fix housing.  Finally, someone thinking clearly.

This simple truth is that it was housing that started to whole collapse and it will be housing which solves the problem.  It is this sector which accounts for roughly 10% of the GDP in the United States.  Until this aspect of the economy is stabilized, nothing will be effective.

We heard a lot about the toxic assets that banks have on their balance sheets.  That is at the core of the financial collapse.  However, we are nowhere close to solving that problem since there is still no way to value these assets.  At the moment, they are virtually worthless.  Putting a stop to the housing crunch will establish a basic value for these assets while stopping the downward plunge.

Now, many citizens are opposed to bailing out their neighbors when they paid their mortgages. The idea of rewarding someone for bad behavior is unpalatable to many.  I will cede this point to them.  However, the situation is such that their choices are affecting everyone, even those who paid their mortgages on time.  Whenever a house is foreclosed upon and sold at auction, it brings the value of everyone else in that neighborhood down.  Multiply this by millions of homes across the country and you get a glimpse of what is happening.

Therefore, bailout the million or so homeowners who are facing foreclosure.  Get the housing market stabilized so that prices are not dropping 1%-3% a month.  This will give some value to the banks assets while freeing up some credit.  Those who maintained creditworthiness can refinance their homes if they so desire.  Also, the slowdown in construction will turn within 12 months if the Fed holds interrest rates low.

And, in the end, this will cost a lot less than a couple of trillion dollars that the politicians are going to spend over the next couple of years in wasteful spending.

Politics As Usual

For all the promises of change, we see it is business as usual for the nation's government.

Obama promised more bi-partisanship.  Unfortunately, according to the vote on the "stimulus" package, there is more partisanship then ever before.  Obama got his spending bill through the House of Representatives by a vote of 244-188.  That is the good news.  The bad is that not a single Republican voted for it.  Not one.  So much for change.

Forgive me if I dwell in my own knowledge but how many times did I mention that this was coming.  There is no change in Washington because those in power are partisans who care little about the average person.  Each of them has an agenda which they are busy pushing through.  At present, we are seeing all liberal ideas passing since it is the Democrats in control.  If it was the other way around, we would see the Republicans putting up "abstinance" education as a stimulus. In the end, it is all bogus.

Obama will get his package.  He has such a majority that anything he desires is his.  And, with the scare job the media put on the public, we are looking at them agreeing with anything.  However, in the end, we need to remember that it was the government's intervention that created this mess.  If you think this stimulus is going to do anything productive, think again. You don't spend your way our of a dire financial situation.

Global Warming Myth-More Skeptics

Al Gore is in Washington testifying how the planet is in dire straits and, unless we reverse man-made global warming, we are doomed. Well, here is a clue for the former VP: mankind is destined for extinction. This is part of the natural process. More than 98% of all living species are presently extinct. In due time, man will follow suit.

What is ironic about the Gore situation is that one of his main allies is being discredited. James Hansen is a well known spewer of the propaganda about global warming. Hansen received instant credit simply because he is a top scientist at GISS, the climate arm of NASA. It seems now, that he is being trumped by a so-called skeptic.

Instead of writing what happened, I will simply show an excerpt from a column outlining the recent events.

Retired senior NASA atmospheric scientist, Dr. John S. Theon, the former supervisor of James Hansen, NASA’s vocal man-made global warming fear soothsayer, has now publicly declared himself a skeptic and declared that Hansen “embarrassed NASA” with his alarming climate claims and said Hansen was “was never muzzled.” Theon joins the rapidly growing ranks of international scientists abandoning the promotion of man-made global warming fears.

The entire article can be read here.

If Hansen had credibility because of his position, wouldn't his supervisor carry even more since he was above Hansen? Obviously, this man know science as well, if not better than Hansen. And, he is concluding that man-made global warming is a myth.

It sounds like Al Gore's house of cards is starting to fall.

License to steal

Is there any question that an almost $1 trillion stimulus package is a license for the corrupt in government to steal? First, we had millions proposed to be spent on birth control. The esteemed Speaker of the House even reiterated her belief on national television that this would stimulate the economy . Thankfully, it was deleted from the package.

Now, we have another asinine idea. The plan evidently includes over $300 million for STD prevention. Did you read that? Over $300 million for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. How the hell is this going to stimulate the economy? The answer is that it is not. In fact, I would guess that most of this bill is not going to stimulate the economy. This is an assertion that is being backed up by the Heritage Foundation and CBO.

Money is like a drug to a corrupt politician. They cannot seem to spend enough of it.

Geithner Confirmed

We are seeing the level of corruption expand. The leaders in Washington are using the economic collapse as a means to push through legislation and people we ordinarily would reject. The head of the Treasury is a prime example.

Obama wanted Geithner confirmed quickly so that he could start working on "saving" the economy. Because of the critical need, Congress mostly overlooked the fact that Geithner failed to pay taxes over a number of years. In some circles this is called a "tax cheat".

What is dismaying about this situation is how the American people are forced to accept someone in a position who is corrupt (or stupid). Geithner claimed that his not paying the taxes was a mistake. Horsecrap. We all know when we are trying to cheat the government. Nonetheless, if a person is capable of a mistake like this, he is not fit to run the Treasury. Sadly, I do not accept this to be true. I believe Geithner is smarter than that and this was not a mistake. He was trying to cheat and got caught. That makes him corrupt in my opinion.

Geithner is not the story here. What is important is how those in power are force feeding us corruption and legislation because of the perceived emergency. The TARP program was a prime example. Paulson (another nimrod) told us that without the $700 billion, the financial markets would collapse. Well, $350 billion went in without changing much. Actually, they have no idea where most of the money went. That is government at it's best.

You are going to see a huge spending package (they call it a stimulus bill) passed because of rising unemployment and the need to create jobs. It is interesting to note that the present unemployment figure stands where it did during Bill Clinton's first term. Yet, he proposed $16 billion in stimulus spending. Has inflation jumped that much where $16 billion in the early 1990s, became $1 trillion a couple of decades later? Of course not. This is just an excuse for more government spending.

Long Term Recession

I just finished watching the talking heads on t.v. covering what the politicians are doing to stimulate the economy. After listening to these yoyos, I can only conclude that we are going to feel the pains of this recession for a long time. Nothing these morons is proposing is going to make a bit of difference. The stimulus package is more political nonsense designed to fulfill campaign promises.

Certainly this is going to seem like an attack on the Democrats. Well, get use to it. This is their game. Presently, there is barely a Republican to be found in Washington. That is what happens when your party gets destroyed in an election. Now, the Democrats have a shot to fix things. Alas, like most political figures, they are going to fail miserably.

Obama said we are going to spend our way out of this situation. That is the craziest notion ever proposed. When things are going bad, is that the time to spend? Take a business. If sales slow, does that company go on a spending spree (only if you receive bailout money)? Of course not. How about if you are an individual? If you lose your job, is that the time to spend recklessly? Again, the answer is no. Then why does the government think that we should spend our way out of a recession? Because our leaders have no clue what makes the economy go.

Obviously, I have no faith in the government. It is a corrupt institution that is destined to fail. Presently, the American people are overtaxed to keep up with the excessive spending of the Federal government. Now, we are seeing the largest expansion in spending this country has ever seen. I only hope they can print the money fast enough to keep up.

Prepare yourself for double digit inflation. This will stifle an chance at rapid recovery.

Letter To Democrats

This was taken from Neal Boortz website. It is a letter from the Congressional Leaders to their Caucus. It certainly reveals exactly what their plans are.

TO THE HOUSE AND SENATE DEMOCRAT CAUCUS

As we begin work in the 111th Congress we have been given an unprecedented opportunity to fulfill virtually all of the spending promises we, as Democrats, have made to the voters and to our contributors over many campaigns.

Our economy is in crisis right now and, thanks to generations of government education, most citizens see the solution to our economic problems in government action.

This economic crisis presents us with the best opportunity for government growth since the Great Depression. If we allow the marketplace to begin a self-correction before we move a golden opportunity will be lost. Shortly after the opening gavel your House and Senate leadership want to take advantage of this situation by introducing a massive spending bill. We will have the full cooperation of the media in presenting this spending bill to the people as an "economic stimulus" bill or a "recovery package."

We are asking you to review your campaign spending promises over the past several House and Senatorial campaigns. Please forward to your leadership office no later than this Friday a list of the spending programs you have promised your voters. Your House and Senate leadership, in cooperation with the incoming Obama administration, will review your proposals with special attention paid to their ability to grow the size of our federal government and serve the special interests of our constituency. We will then combine these proposals into a spending bill which will be presented to the voters as an emergency economic stimulus plan.

We are sorry for the quick turnaround on this project, but we have to move on this program before the voters start to entertain the idea that the best way to revive our economy is through the private sector.

We may not have another opportunity like this. We have conditioned the people to accept a government spending solution to our current situation. We have to move with legislation before they figure out that government was the problem here, and not the solution.

We will expect your detailed spending proposals by this Friday. Remember, the primary goals of your spending proposals should be to grow the size of government and fulfill campaign promises. It would be helpful if these proposals could carry the appearance of helping our economy in some small way.

Harry Reid

Nancy Pelosi

The government stimulus package is really just a giant spending bill. And we are the ones who are going to have to pay for it.

Stimulus Fraud

Did you happen to catch Nancy Pelosi on ABC's This Week? If you didn't, you missed a good one. It seems the Madam Speaker believes that the inclusion of birth control into the stimulus package is worthy. She claims that it will help to jump start the economy since it will save states money. What a crock of you know what this is.

Before going any further, I will say that I do not have a dog in this fight (and neither does Michael Vick). Personally, I am not against the government offering birth control. This seems to be a fight that the religious zealots wage based upon some moral ground. If offering birth control to those on welfare reduces the number of unwanted pregnancies, then I am for it. However, I do not buy that it will stimulate the economy.

This just shows how out of touch the Speaker is. Of course, she is not the only one. There are many who are buying this garbage as a viable means to stimulating the economy. Our political leadership is using the fear that exists to push through their agenda. Sadly, these decisions are going to cost us trillions before it is all over. And, double the pain by understanding that all this spending will do little to impact the current economic situation. It really is nothing more than a big spending package.

To me, this is fraud. The government is spending our money based upon misleading information. The fact that the Speaker "believes" it will stimulate the economy is irrelevant. I fail to see how providing birth control to prevent a pregnancy which will take a minimum of 9 months to manifest as a baby will get things moving economically. The fact that it will save the states money down the road is not a present factor.

If the Madam Speaker is so intent on helping the states save money in the future from unwanted pregnancies, here is a solution: starting tomorrow (January 27, 2009), there will be no monies paid for anyone receiving welfare for additional children. You will continue to be paid for the current children you have. However, anyone not with child as of midnight tonight is ineligible.

There, now there is no need for birth control in stimulus. And, we just saved hundreds of millions of dollars.

Trusting The Government

The nation is moving towards a time when the majority of people are dependent upon the government for at least part of their income. This will come in the form of social security, unemployment, welfare, or other devious cons the leadership sells us that makes us believe it is for our own good. Each time Congress approves a new spending program, the number of dependents increases.

Bernie Madoff made headlines by running one of the largest Ponzi schemes in history. His scam caused the loss of billions of dollars while harming thousands of people. He is a crook that deserves to be punished severely. Life in prison is too good for him in my opinion.

That being said, let me ask you: would you trust Madoff with your money at this point? In other words, would you turn your life savings over to him? No. Why not? Obviously because his record is for letting people down and not delivering what he promises. Also, Madoff showed himself only to be concerned about himself as opposed to looking out for the best interest of his clients. Only a fool would support Madoff at this point.

Yet, we see fools everyday supporting the government. They defend the policies that are proven to deliver nothing of what is promised. Every couple of years, the people send back the same morons to screw them further. The track record of the government is awful. It is the greatest liar, cheat, and scammer in the last couple hundred years.

You think I am kidding. Look at Social Security. That is the classic definition of a Ponzi scheme, taking in new money to pay the initial investors. Guess what? Social Security is broke because the undisciplined, corrupt, and greedy politicians could not keep their hands off it. Can you imagine if the head of a charter school diverted grant money intended for one purpose to another area? That school would be shut down in a matter of days.

Speaking of education, we entrusted the government to teach our children. What a fine job they are doing there. American consistently is falling further behind in areas of math and science. Fields like engineering, medical, and research are seeing an influx of foreigners because we have nobody to fulfill these positions.

Reading a bit of history will awaken you to the lies and deception the government traditionally is involved in. Do you remember the "concentration" policy? This was where the tribes of the Plains Indians agreed to occupy a certain territory in exchange of annual payments and cash gifts. The intent was to cut down on inter tribal warfare. Of course, this plan worked until the government realized it wanted more of the Indian's land. When they resisted, it was determined that they would be "housed" on two reservations. This was just another in a series of treaties the United States government broke with the Indians.

So, do you really believe that the government will protect your Social Security? It is already broke, what makes you think they will reverse this trend? By spending more money? How is that ever going to get one out of debt? The truth of the matter is that the government is only going to screw those people who put their faith in it. And those who defend this corruption deserve to suffer greatly. You have been warned.

"I am the President"

These are the words from our fearless leader to Congressional Republicans at a meeting in which he was trying to drum up bipartisan support for his spending bill. So much for the change we were promised.

Did anyone really believe that Obama was going to do anything other than what he wanted? The idea of reaching across the aisle is a farce. Washington is full of people who live according to an ideology. This is something they will not change.

Obama was a liberal while in Congress. The old saying is that a "leopard does not change it's spots". Well, Obama is ruling like a liberal. And, you can expect more of it to come. He is in charge because "He is the President". Of course, a Democratic Congress helps too.

What does this mean for the rest of us: more government intervention. We are going to see the largest increase in the size of government that this country ever saw. Suddenly, Washington feels it is alright to run up a deficit into the trillions. What do they care? They won't be in office when our grandchildren have to deal with these decisions.

Obama is just one more in the long line of ideologues who occupy offices in Washington. There is no more concern of doing what is best for the American people. Instead, all of them, on both sides of the aisle, focus solely upon pushing their political agenda. In the end, that is all that matters to them.

Obama is the President and he is now started campaigning for four more years in 2012.

Trillions spent for what?

Obama and his cronies in Washington are going to spend trillions of dollars in "stimulus" in an effort to jump start the economy. Are they for real? These people have no idea what they are doing. The shortsighted outlook of our political leadership is what created this mess to begin with. Now, we are going to invent a bigger problem in the future by making stupid decisions today.

I decided to give you all a bit of a lesson since most seem to be educated by our ineffective school system. I am going to give you a website which I suggest you bookmark and return to frequently. It will allow you to converse about economic and financial matters somewhat intelligently. This will separate you from the masses since most get their economic ideas from the slobbering blowholes on television.

If you think that you are going to have a tough time making ends meet now, wait until we experience an inflation rate in the high teens. This is what we will see as a result of all these bailouts and stimulus packages. The government, in their infinite wisdom, is going to try to spend their way out of this mess. Unfortunately, it does not have the money to do so.

I want you to go to this link and read about inflation.

Notice what it says:

"If the money supply has been increased, this will usually manifest itself in higher price levels - it is simply a matter of time."

Where do you think the government is getting all this money? They are printing it. I imagine the money supply is increasing as quickly as they print it. That is what it means when they say "they are injecting the markets with capital". Simply, they are printing money.

We saw the effects of inflation on our pocketbooks when the gas prices shot up last year. While this was not due to inflationary pressures, the result was the same. People had less purchasing power because they had to spend more on a basic necessity. In effect, it cost people double to drive to work each day. They realized no more benefit for the extra money, only a higher cost.

I am preparing you for what is coming. The policies of those in Washington are going to create a similar situation. The rapidly growing money supply sets the standard for inflation to escalate when the economy does recover. Thus, any recovery will be sabotaged by inflation. This pushes the Fed to combat that animal by raising interest rates which stifles spending. And, we are in the cycle all over again.

People fail to learn from history. I am amazed that Obama is so naive for such an intelligent man. He claims to be a student of men like FDR yet he is following their same failed policies. Huge government investment has never worked in any country around the world. If it did, Russia (or other communist nations) would have economies that are roaring. Instead, their economies topple every couple of years. This is the model that Obama is following.

Now you have no excuse for being naive about these matters. The next time some meathead mentions how the government is going to spend our way out of this, ask him or her what they are going to do about the hyberinflation which will result.

Sweatshops are good?

This is a crazy statement. How can a sweatshop be good? It is an atmosphere which exemplifies the abuse of another human being. People toil long hours for almost no pay. This is nothing more than modern day slavery. Or is it?

There was an article in the NY Times Op-Ed section detailing a much different story. According to this viewpoint, while sweatshops are bad, they are not the worst in the poorest of nations. In fact, they are crucial to the development of a nation. Manufacturing is a vital component of any developing country. Without it, poverty remains the overwhelming state.

Of course, we look at this situation in a different way. The bleeding hearts want to tell everyone else how things need to be. However, by focusing the attention on the sweatshops and, eventually getting them closed, these people inadvertently destroy lives. Their intentions might be good. Yet, their results are not favorable.

It is hard for us to understand what people in the poorest of nations endure. We live in a land where there is a minimum wage which employers are required to pay. At the same time, work conditions are at a level where safety is emphasized. Nevertheless, it was not always this way. There was a period in our nation's development where conditions resembled those in the developing countries. Workers were abused by their employers.

This is not to defend the practice nor should we return to those days. The point is that it was a critical stage for us to pass through. We can say the same for these developing countries. They will pass through this stage like the United States did. A sweatshop beats losing a hand or foot in a garbage dump.

Remember this the next time you want to scream out against an injustice in another country. What you are bitching about might not be the worst circumstance in that area. You could be killing someone with your perspective.

Global Warming???

I live in the Sunshine State. Here, it is sunny and cold. Last night, temperatures dropped into the 20s in some areas of South Florida. The 20s!!!! That leads me to ask:

How can anyone in their right mind believe the planet is warming when we are seeing such cold temperatures?

The fact that the average global temperature did not increase since 1998 seems of little relevance to the global warming crowd. Nor does the fact that 2007 and 2008 actually saw a decline. Well, it now seems that 2009 is off to a chilly start. Perhaps more people will wake up to this truth with each cold spell.

To top it off, we have a freeze warming until 9AM today. That is awful news for the citrus industry. It might not be a stellar crop for them. This sounds like this might decrease the food supply somewhat. Oh wait, that was the hysterical argument against global warming. Now, I will admit that I am not a botanist but it appears to me that plants do much better in the warm as opposed to the cold. Perhaps, the cooling is worse for us than the warming. Something to consider as you are bundling up.

The Real Story Behind A Business

This story is floating around the Internet. I have no knowledge whether this is actually a real letter written t employees or not. However, it sums up what many are feeling at the present moment.

To All My Valued Employees,

There have been some rumblings around the office about the future of this company, and more specifically, your job. As you know, the economy has changed for the worse and presents many challenges. However, the good news is this: The economy doesn't pose a threat to your job. What does threaten your job however, is the changing political landscape in this country.

However, let me tell you some little tidbits of fact which might help you decide what is in your best interests.

First, while it is easy to spew rhetoric that casts employers against employees, you have to understand that for every business owner there is a back story. This back story is often neglected and overshadowed by what you see and hear. Sure, you see me park my Mercedes outside. You've seen my big home at last years Christmas party. I'm sure; all these flashy icons of luxury conjure up some idealized thoughts about my life.

However, what you don't see is the back story.

I started this company 28 years ago. At that time, I lived in a 300 square foot studio apartment for 3 years. My entire living apartment was converted into an office so I could put forth 100% effort into building a company, which by the way, would eventually employ you.

My diet consisted of Ramen Pride noodles because every dollar I spent went back into this company. I drove a rusty Toyota Corolla with a defective transmission. I didn't have time to date. Often times, I stayed home on weekends, while my friends went out drinking and partying. In fact, I was married to my business -- hard work, discipline, and sacrifice.

Meanwhile, my friends got jobs. They worked 40 hours a week and made a modest $50K a year and spent every dime they earned. They drove flashy cars and lived in expensive homes and wore fancy designer clothes. Instead of hitting the Nordstrom's for the latest hot fashion item, I was trolling through the Goodwill store extracting any clothing item that didn't look like it was birthed in the 70's. My friends refinanced their mortgages and lived a life of luxury. I, however, did not. I put my time, my money, and my life into a business with a vision that eventually, some day, I too, will be able to afford these luxuries my friends supposedly had.

So, while you physically arrive at the office at 9am, mentally check in at about noon, and then leave at 5pm, I don't. There is no "off" button for me. When you leave the office, you are done and you have a weekend all to yourself. I unfortunately do not have the freedom. I eat, and breathe this company every minute of the day. There is no rest. There is no weekend. There is no happy hour. Every day this business is attached to my hip like a 1 year old special-needs child. You, of course, only see the fruits of that garden -- the nice house, the Mercedes, the vacations... You never realize the back story and the sacrifices I've made.

Now, the economy is falling apart and I, the guy that made all the right decisions and saved his money, have to bail-out all the people who didn't. The people that overspent their paychecks suddenly feel entitled to the same luxuries that I earned and sacrificed a decade of my life for.

Yes, business ownership has is benefits but the price I've paid is steep and not without wounds.

Unfortunately, the cost of running this business, and employing you, is starting to eclipse the threshold of marginal benefit and let me tell you why:

I am being taxed to death and the government thinks I don't pay enough. I have state taxes. Federal taxes. Property taxes. Sales and use taxes. Payroll taxes. Workers compensation taxes. Unemployment taxes. Taxes on taxes. I have to hire a tax man to manage all these taxes and then guess what? I have to pay taxes for employing him. Government mandates and regulations and all the accounting that goes with it, now occupy most of my time. On Oct 15th, I wrote a check to the US Treasury for $288,000 for quarterly taxes. You know what my "stimulus" check was? Zero. Nada. Zilch.

The question I have is this: Who is stimulating the economy? Me, the guy who has provided 14 people good paying jobs and serves over 2,200,000 people per year with a flourishing business? Or, the single mother sitting at home pregnant with her fourth child waiting for her next welfare check? Obviously, government feels the latter is the economic stimulus of this country.

The fact is, if I deducted (Read: Stole) 50% of your paycheck you'd quit and you wouldn't work here. I mean, why should you? That's nuts. Who wants to get rewarded only 50% of their hard work? Well, I agree which is why your job is in jeopardy.

Here is what many of you don't understand ... to stimulate the economy you need to stimulate what runs the economy. Had suddenly government mandated to me that I didn't need to pay taxes, guess what? Instead of depositing that $288,000 into the Washington black-hole, I would have spent it, hired more employees, and generated substantial economic growth. My employees would have enjoyed the wealth of that tax cut in the form of promotions and better salaries. But you can forget it now.

When you have a comatose man on the verge of death, you don't defibrillate and shock his thumb thinking that will bring him back to life, do you? Or, do you defibrillate his heart? Business is at the heart of America and always has been. To restart it, you must stimulate it, not kill it. Suddenly, the power brokers in Washington believe the poor of America are the essential drivers of the American economic engine. Nothing could be further from the truth and this is the type of change you can keep.

So where am I going with all this?

It's quite simple.

If any new taxes are levied on me, or my company, my reaction will be swift and simple. I fire you. I fire your co-workers. You can then plead with the government to pay for your mortgage, your SUV, and your child's future. Frankly, it isn't my problem any more.

Then, I will close this company down, move to another country, and retire. You see, I'm done. I'm done with a country that penalizes the productive and gives to the unproductive. My motivation to work and to provide jobs will be destroyed, and with it, will be my citizenship.

If you lose your job, it won't be at the hands of the economy; it will be at the hands of a political hurricane that swept through this country, steamrolled the constitution, and will have changed its landscape forever. If that happens, you can find me sitting on a beach, retired, and with no employees to worry about....

Signed,

Your boss

Now we will see how well the new stimulus packages work.

Scooters-Bad for the environment

Environmentalists love to tout how awful the SUVs are while offering alternative modes of transportation. However, this article tells us that "scooters" are not the environmentally benefit. At least, this is according to the EPA.

Well, do not get too upset with the "tree huggers". They mean well. Fortunately for us, carbon emissions have nothing to do with climate change so all those zipping around on scooters are not actually harming us. Yet, they are quick to point out that the drivers of SUVs are killing the planet. Actually, the scooters are 8 times worse per mile than the big, gas guzzling SUV.

The fact that scooters aren't as efficient as everyone thinks is not the important factor. What is crucial is to see how little people know about what they are passionate about. The environmental movement is a committed group. And, it is large. However, few actually know what they are talking about when it comes to the facts. They take what the media proposes to them at face value. This is how the "brainwashing" process is done.

Since scooters are actually worse for the environment than an SUV, what other lies are we told by those who are constantly telling us we need to protect the environment. Perhaps the little tidbit about global warming is a total myth also. Considering that the United States is in the middle of a horrific cold spell, it seems there might be some validity for the argument of global cooling. Don't worry, if it gets too bad, all the scooter riders will warm us up with their excessive carbon emissions.

The fact is that the media lies to us on a consistent basis. Everyone is promoting an agenda and it is the general public who is screwed in the process. We cannot trust our political leaders to act in our best interest. At the same time, everything we hear on the "news" is skewed to a particular viewpoint. This man-made climate change crap is a prime example.

Therefore, take the extra time to look into an issue. Note that it is rarely what is being presented. Those with an agenda bank on the fact that most people take things at face value. Look at the coverage of the recent election. Most of what is spewed during an event like that is total garbage. The media was playing an angle and it worked. America now has a leader it knows nothing about.

Now, let us all get on our scooters and warm this place up.

Tax Mistake

When is not paying your taxes a "mistake"? It is that when you are the incoming President's choice to head the Treasury. And, yes, the corruption continues. We are rapidly moving towards the absurd.

Joe Biden considers paying taxes to be patriotic. If that is the case, then the head of the Treasury should not be someone who lacks patriotism. This is an organization that oversees all financial policy for the United States. Yet, we now have a nominee who "forgot" to pay. This seems a bit corny to me.

Of course, we now have Obama showing what type of corrupt person he is. Do you think Obama stood up after the facts were revealed and said "My bad. He doesn't deserve it". Certainly not. Instead he pushed Congress to confirm Geithner in spite of his "innocent mistake". (read here) What the hell. Will I be granted the save tolerance if I "make a mistake" and forget to pay my taxes. Not likely.

This shows how the Obama administration is nothing more than the same corruption we saw the last few decades. The powerful are screwing the American people while doing whatever they want. These public servants are corrupt and most of them belong. If you are not capable of paying your taxes then you certainly have no business running for Treasury. And, if you nominate someone who is unqualified, you have a responsibility to withdraw that person. Yet, Obama is going to follow the same corrupt standards.

So much for change.

Morons in Congress

You would think that something right in front of them would make them stand back and re-evaluate their position. But no. Not people in Congress. Once they get an idea in their head, there is no removing it. This is the case with the global warming chaos. We are now seeing proof that global warming is a political rather than a scientific issue.

The esteemed Henry Waxman has promised legislation on climate change before Memorial day. (read article here) Of course, he makes this statement while much of the country is suffering through horrific, freezing conditions. ( see here) Even the inauguration of Obama is destined to see horrific temperatures. However, this does not deter the myth from continuing.

Here is the true scoop on climate: the sun has the power to eradicate the Earth if it just hiccups. All of our power comes from that single entity. This is the force that sustains life on Earth, a planet that is covered by 75% water. Much of what we experience is due to the condensation and evaporation of water. Therefore, the temperature of the oceans has an impact on the climate.

Recently, the PDO (Pacific Decadal Ocsillator) switched from it's warm cycle to its cool. Bear in mind, this is the largest body of water on the planet. This switched can be traced to the lack of sunspots recognized in the last few years. We are at a 100 year low in that area. This leads to a cooling of the oceans which will, in turn, cool the planet. Notice how carbon emissions do not figure into the equation.

Since 2006, the northern hemisphere has seen cooler temperatures. This is a pattern that is mimicing the cycles of the past. We can expect this to continue for the next couple of decades. The recent temperatures are making this shift more noticable.

Yet, we still have morons like Henry Waxman who is too obtuse to see what is in front of him. And he is suppose to be a public servant. He ought to be whipped. The ideas that he is going to carry forward are going to cost billions of dollars while criplling the economy even further. If Wall Street did not put us in a recession, these meatheads in government will. All because someone was too near-sighted to see what was in front of him.

It is time that people start to wake up. Global warming is nothing more than a tool to redistribute wealth. The global concept is that richer countries (the carbon emitters) will pay the poorer countries for their suffering. Of course, this is backed by the United Nations since that is headed by people from the poorer countries. Any organization that chooses a leader from a nation in Africa ought to be ignored. It is nothing more than a political farce.

So, once again, the dimwits in Washington are playing politics on your dime. This fiasco is going to cost us billions so that these people can claim credit when they finally acknowledge that the Earth is cooling. However, until the legislature is passed, they will continue this facade. Only then might we hear how their decisions are working and reversing the global warming trend.

Welcome to fantasy land.

Another Corrupt Mayor

You have to love the balls on this guy. Like this article says, if times were better, it would be funny.

So the mayor of Indiana decided that he needed to ride around in a Hummer when the City of Gary is $34 million in the hole. This is the mentality of those who are in power. It is total corruption. Then, when you account for his reasoning (he saved $5,000), it makes you wonder if this guy is fit to be in office. To me, this should be treated as a crime and this low life ought to be tossed in jail.

We are now seeing this all across the country. Political corruption is nothing new. Neither is the concept that politicians act like the taxpayer money is their own. However, with times getting more difficult, and local municipalities running in the red, incidents such as these are more appalling.

Last week I wrote about the mayor of Baltimore and her alleged corruption. (Read article here) Everywhere we turn, we are seeing the same thing. The taxpayer are being screwed. Either there is outright fraud or total incompetence, both resulting in the loss for the taxpayer. Chalk this one up as another step moving us towards the revolution.

By the way, did you notice how one of the banks that was involved in the bailout, Citigroup, is in more trouble. Perhaps throwing money at a problem without changing the fundamentals of that business is not the best approach.

GM Bailout Success-NOT!!!

A GM exec said that the failing automaker might need more than the billion of dollars Bush already gave to them. (Read article here) What a shocker that is? Is anyone surprised? Here is another government bailout program that set the taxpayers back billions of dollars only to find out it did not work. This is our government at work.

Everyone who reads this knows how I feel about the "end around" Bush pulled on the American people. Congress, to their credit, rejected this insane idea, one that is soundly rejected by the American people. Of course, to a lame duck President who faces no re-election, what does he care what America thinks?

The reason why the government fails repeatedly is because they have one answer to any problem: throw money at it. Unfortunately, as history proves, money is not the answer. Regardless of the amount, money will not fixed a broken system. Until the fundamental issues are resolved, money only multiplies the size of the problem.

Take the educational arena. The federal government has spent close to $2 trillion in Title 1 money to educate our children. Yet every study when compared to the rest of the developed world shows how we lag behind. In short, we have a bunch of morons coming out of the school system. We spend the most money yet get the least return. That is our government for you.

The TARP money is another example of government incompetance at work. Congress agreed to $700 billion that was to be used to bailout the financial institutions. Yet, they have no idea where the money was spent. First, as we see, there was no easing in the credit markets since banks still arent lending. Then, Bush takes some of that money and gives it to the automakers. What a farce.

The bottom line is that GM and Chrysler (nobody is sure of Ford) are broken companies. They are buried by poor union contracts which have huge legacy costs. Of course, notice how Gettelfinger, the Union head, says there are unfair concessions in the agreement that need to be removed. While I dont blame the union for getting all they could, after all, management agreed to all of it, I do believe it is a major reason for their inability to be competetive. Also, management totally missed the shift in the industry away from gas guzzlers to more fuel efficient vehicles. Money will not alter that reality.

GM is a failed company at the moment. According to the tenets of American capitalism, companies like that either change their business model or go under. It is that simple. The fact that the government stepped in proves only one thing: they only prolonged the inevitable. A failed company is not fixed by giving them a lot of money. This entity, once a pillar of Americana, is now ready for the scrapheap. Unfortunately, the political leaders feel the taxpayers cannot survive without it.

Thanks President Bush for costing us another $15 billion. Our kids appreciate that.

Where are all the Jews?

I will start be telling you all I am not Jewish so I do not have a "dog" in this fight. However, I find it troubling that so few people are speaking up on behalf of Israel. There is a great deal of support for Hamas within the United States. We see protests against Israel occurring on a weekly basis.

Here in Florida, there was a large rally down in Ft. Lauderdale saw the fervor that those people have for Israel. This weekend, in my hometown, I passed about 400 people at a busy intersection supporting Israel. While this was heartening to see, what confused me is how few Jews were in the crowd.

This brings me to the main question: where are all the Jews? Why arent they standing up for Israel in this country? It is easily recognized by anyone but the most extreme ideologue that Hamas bombed Israel for a year before they retaliated. Why arent the Jews in power screaming for our nation to back Israel?

Perhaps it is because they refuse to recognize their Jewish heritage. Food for thought.

Legal Corruption

Can anyone explain to me why Bernard Madoff is not in jail? Instead, he is living in his penthouse apartment while awaiting trial for the bilking of billions of dollars from investors. In what is the largest Ponzi scheme in U.S. history (next to the Social Security scam), Madoff is personally responsible for the ripping off of almost $50 billion. And, as I write this he is a free man.

To make matters worse, he is mailing millions of dollars worth of jewelry to friends and family. This is in direct opposition to a court order forbidding him from unloading his assets. Today, a judged allowed him to remain free. Instead, he requested an accounting of all his assets and assigned a security detail to periodically check that the objects are in Madoff's possession. (Read article here) This is absurd.

Let me ask you this: do you think that you or I would receive the same treatment. Of course not. In fact, you look at other high profile criminals to see they werent treated the same way. OJ Simpson sat in jail for over a year until he was let off the hook. Fortunately for society in general, karma came back to roost with him. The fact that Madoff is being accused of a "white collar" crime should matter little. He is a corrupt man who destroyed a lot of people.

I have no idea what the track record of Judge Ronald Ellis is. He may be a terrific judge. However, I question his decision on this one. Bernard Madoff harmed a lot of families while casting emotions which thus far is tied to 2 deaths. While he might not have pulled the trigger, he is responsible. And for that, he deserves to await trial from within the confines of a cell.

10/12/2000-The Day Terror Hit Home

Do you think that protecting America is anywhere on Obama's list of responsibilities. Judging by his selection of cabinet positions, it seems to me that he is going to reverse everything that President Bush did to protect this country. While I am not a fan of the present socialist occupying the White House, keeping America safe is the one thing he did right.

Obama's decision to have Clinton term #3 means we are going back to the same lax policies that Bill had. Now while I cannot surmise if Obama will be getting some head in the Oval Office, I can assure you a return to the days of American targets being hit around the world. Bush put fear into the terrorists; Obama wants to make them comfortable.

Let us review a little history. When did the war on terror actually begin? Many say it was a result of 9/11. That is incorrect. Terror came to the forefront on October 12, 2000 when the U.S.S. Cole was rammed by a suicide bomber. For those who do not remember, that was the incident where 17 American soldiers lost their lives. The sad thing is these people had an average age of 19 years old. They were dead before they truly lived.

Now we are going to see the closing of Gitmo along with the rewriting of the interrogation policies of this country. Gone will be waterboarding and wiretapping. Also, we will see less information gathered by the intelligence community since the new leadership is concerned about the comfort and fairness used in handling the terrorists. What about the 17 people who lost their lives? Where is their fairness? And what about the comfort for all their families? I guess this is not a part of the Obama package.

The bottom line is that this is another example where our political leaders are playing politics with our lives. One credible viewpoint Bush had was his belief that his job as Commander in Chief is to protect the lives of America. Sadly, while I am happy to see Bush leave, I feel we are in more danger now. It will take another wake up call for America to realize that weakness with people who want to kill us is stupid.

Those who adopt these policies ought to be tried for treason and hung. Their lives are worth less than those who died upon the U.S.S. Cole. Those people were doing their part to protect America. Obama and his cronies are intent on destroying it.

Let us not forget those who gave their lives for our freedom.

We Are Entering An Ice Age

Are you kidding me? How can this be when the "consensus" is that we are going to be destroyed by global warming? The answer is that obviously the consensus might be lacking a few people. Of course, this means that there is no consensus but that is another dispute.

Plainly, we are being lied to. Those in power are using fear to promote their agenda to eliminate our present way of life while implementing costly solutions where there is no problem. Following this idea is costing us billions, if not trillions.

Researchers are concluding that we are seeing signs that the world is entering a cooling period. Over the last few weeks, I wrote about some of this research. Now, we are seeing claims that we are closing in on another Ice Age. Here is an article that appears in Pravda showing how the climate is involved in a trend that lasts thousands of years.

The problem with the alarmists claims is that they like to take 10 or 20 year spans. When dealing with the Earth, we need to look at things in intervals of 10,000 years or more. This idea that man is causing the warming of the planet is becoming more ridiculous by the day. Each day we see another record low set somewhere in the world. As I write this, parts of Alaska is dealing with -75 degrees. Does this sound like a product of global warming? (I am going to ignore the absurd and illogical claim that record low temperatures are a result of global warming)

We saw the extinction of the dinosaurs during the last Ice Age. Since that time, the planet got warmer. There were fluctuations up and down over different intervals. Nevertheless, the planet is warmer than it was 200,000 years ago. In addition, we are told there is another ice age coming. This means that there will be a time when the planet gets remarkably colder. Hopefully, for those of us here, it won't be for thousands of years.

The bottom line is that another "mini-ice age" similar to what was experienced a couple hundred years ago is very likely. We are now seeing temperatures that date back to the late 1800s. Give this another couple of years, and it is highly possible that we will feel effects similar to the 1700s in terms of the temperature. Remember this the next time one of the political leaders warns of the dangers of global warming. Now, you will know for a fact they are lying through their teeth.

Everybody's Going To Have To Give

These are the words that Barack Obama uttered on This Week with George Stephanopoulos. He feels that he is going scale back on campaign promises to somehow try and rescue the economy. This is very sound reasoning. With the recent events which sent the world economy into a tailspin, everyone is going to need to alter how they approach their financial affairs. Many, because of the fear of being without employment, are scaling back their spending.

While I agree with the President-elect, I wonder why he failed to mention that Congress needs to partake in this "sharing". In fact, they should be the ones setting the example for everyone. However, after receiving a "cost of living" increase of over $4,000, I fail to see how they are "giving". I see them only taking more.

This shows the corruption of our political/governmental system. Obama is a product of the US Senate, thus I am sure he has a lot of allies there. Also, he is going to need Congress to implement his agenda. Sadly, even if he thinks that Congress getting a raise in this environment is worthy of a high crime, he cannot say anything about it. He is already facing resistance over he agenda. It is in his best interest to keep his mouth shut.

The Revolution believes that we no longer have a government that is in touch with the "people". Our leaders are making choices that they have absolutely no accountability for. It is time to begin the process of change. The day when blood will be shed in the street is quickly approaching. If you think this unrealistic, research what happens each time poverty increases; crime goes up. Mark my words, things are going to get really bad here in the next 12 months.

Global Warming: Political Cause

The only consensus with the Global Warming debate is that the science seems to have left the house. This issue is now a matter of politics as opposed to a forum for scientific debate. Recently, I came across an article that verified my suspicions about this subject.

James Hansen, director of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, is a long time proponent of man-made global warming. He was one of the first scientists to appear before Congress, doing so in 1988. At that time, he alerted them of the dire nature of the impending warming. He was basing his conclusions on the 10 year swing from the late 70s towards a warming. Remember, we experienced a cooling trend from the mid 1940's through up until that time. His analysis was certainly heard by a sitting Senator, Al Gore.

Hansen's credentials would make you believe he is someone to listen to. He has a high powered position (warning sign #1) with the government that allows his access to all the latest data collection devices known to man. However, we find that his conclusions are marred by his associations. In the past I wrote that it is not in the American Cancer Institute's best interest to cure cancer. Well, it is not in Hansen's interest to correctly analyze the data. This article sums up what many have long believed.

I find the easiest way to get to the truth is to follow the money. This usually reveals which "side someone's bread is buttered on". For Hansen, it is a liberal agenda that is pushing his results. How is that so? Because they are the ones lining his pockets with millions of dollars. To me, this proves a lack of neutrality in this matter.

Notice who his supporters are: George Soros who provided him with $720,000 for legal and marketing advice; Teresa Heinz Kerry, with of noted liberal John Kerry, who's foundation awarded Hansen $250,00 and let him split a $1 million prize. Right there is a cool (not warm) $1.5 million to this one individual. Do you think he is going to give up this gravy train by asserting that the data now says something different? Obviously not.

One of the major arguments that man-made global warming advocates levy against those who claim proof dispelling this idea is that their conclusions are biased based upon funding. We often hear how the oil companies are paying for these "scientific" studies the same way the tobacco industry paid for studies concluding that smoking was not hazardous to one's health.

This seems like a valid argument. However, further research reveals that ExxonMobil paid $18 million in climate change studies over a period covering 1997-2996. That averages out to under $2 million spent per year to all those doing research. Yet, Hansen received almost that same amount from 3 sources. Obviously, if the research is flawed by those who are funded by the oil companies, then Hansen's conclusions are fabrications also since he is paid by liberal organizations seeking to promote their agenda. This is just one more instance where the American people are being misled by individuals in the government.

Therefore, the next time you hear someone spewing their nonsense about the consensus on man-made global warming, remember the flaw in their argument. And, bet the ranch that they will point to some data put out by GISS. We can now say this facet of the government is an arm for the George Soros political machine.

The First Hit On Business

The country is going to a socialized system. We are going to see the largest expansion of the role of government that we have ever seen. Over the next 2 years (at a minimum), the power hungry socialists in Congress are going to make great strides in taking control of different sectors. This is bad news for business and, in turn, the economy.

Obama is intent on spending his way out of this recession. Well, that is not going to happen. What is more likely is that the laws passed by Congress will send us into a deep recession. Yesterday saw the passing of the first piece of legislature which will ensure this end.

The Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act was passed in the House. (See here) This bill exoands the recourse that people have to take against companies they feel treated them unfairly. At the core is "equal pay for equal work". It is a noble effort however one that only favors the trial attorneys; a favorite supporter of the existing Congress. Nevertheless, this opens the door for frivolous lawsuits. Companies are going to spend valuable resources (time and money) defending themselves from such charges.

What is troubling is the act dictates that companies prove they acted appropriately and pay equal wages. This goes against the premise of our judicial system where one is innocent until proven guilty. Under our belief system, it is up to the plaintiff to prove he/she was mistreated. Not anymore. Now, with the socialization of this country, we are going to see that concept reversed. And, your elected leaders are driving the train.

How does this affect the average business? I will say that most will never see a lawsuit as a result of this act. However, the ones that do will spend sums of money on defense rather than expansion of business. Where this does come into play is when you consider the restraints already place on business, especially small business. There is too much regulation as it stands now. We are going to see more constraints put upon these entities until they die. I believe this is the mindset of those in power. This will guarantee they will keep the power.

The "Corrupt Moron From Chicago-elect" states that we will spend our way out of this. That very statement proves how out of touch he really is. Congress, along with his backing, is going to create an environment that is so unfriendly to business. Get ready for a long road ahead. You have your elected leaders to thank for that.

Global Warming-The Pacific Might Disagree

My investigation into this interesting topic is revealing how misled we are by those in power. I find it ironic that when one begins to study a particular topic, it seems information (or disinformation) is presented at every turn. This is no exception. I just saw a show on the history channel which goes contrary to much of what is being presented of late. While I will admit not knowing how old the program was, it certainly follows the argument that there is "consensus" over the global warming debate. My research is showing me this is far from true. If anything, the debate is only heating up.

We all remember from our high school science days that the oceans have a lot to do with the weather we experience. These bodies of water cover 75% of the Earth's surface. They have the ability to create, destroy, spawn tornadoes, and have an effect on hurricanes. What I learned is they also release and capture enormous amounts of carbon dioxide. To say that it is an important component in the climate we experience is an understatement.

Recently, Don Easterbrook, professor at Western Washington University, stated that the Pacific Decadal Oscillation shifted from its warm mode to its cool mode, virtually ensuring us of 20-30 years of global cooling. This announcement was made by NASA and is right on schedule with past PDO changes. In addition, this is not an oddity that masks the global warming trend. (read the full article and get the links here)

So, what the heck does this all mean? And how come this announcement was not all over the front page of the major publications? You would think that a shift in climate, considering all the attention it received, would be big news. Yet, nobody is reporting this. Why not?

This tells me we have moved beyond a question of science to one that is now political. Nevertheless, as shown by the NASA research, the largest body of water is now in a cooling mode. I would say this would have a major impact on the climate.

Regardless, there is historical evidence that the PDO establishes the pattern of warming and cooling of the planet. The first part of last century saw a warming until the mid 40s which coincided with a warming of the Pacific. Then, it switched to cool and ended around the time of the Newsweek cover titled "Global Cooling". And, since that time, we were in a warming period until the end of the last century. Again, it should be no surprise that we saw a leveling of the temperature since 1998 with a decrease in the last 2 years.

According to Professor Easterbrook, we will see this trend continue until the middle of this century. This is in opposition to all the global warming theories that exist. Al Gore tells us the consensus is in. Perhaps he ought to check with the Pacific first. It seems that one is going astray.

Government Failure

For those of you who are stupid enough to believe the government is going to get us out of this financial mess, here is an article that details how much of a failure our government really is. We entrusted the corrupt morons with educating our children. It now appears that 20% of the people in the state of Florida are illiterate. While there are some of you who can read but lack math skills, that means 1 in every 5 people cannot read a basic article. And they are proud products of our (as Neal Bortz calls them), government schools.

Let me ask you: what kind of future do these people have? The only qualification is a profession where they ask "do you want fries with that". These people are doomed. Their quality of life is wiped out by the government. Now, they are guaranteed to remain on the government dole.

People often take exception to my point that slavery is alive and well. The government is the almighty master and we are the "niggers on the plantation". Look at the illiterates. They will most likely spend the better part of their life receiving government aid in the form of welfare, incarceration, or government paid jobs. They are qualified to do nothing else. THEY CANNOT READ. Do you understand what that means? And, THE GOVERNMENT WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR TEACHING THEM. Is any of this sinking in?

The bottom line is the government is a failure in all it does. With Obama looking to expand the dole, there will be more people let down. You want another example. Look at the blacks (screw that African-American crap: none of them ever lived in Africa). Here is a race which was given all by the government for the past few generations. Yet, this is the one group that overwhelmingly under performs in every area. The government promised but screwed them along the way. When will they ever learn?

Now, everyone else is following that model. People want the government to provide for them. At least the rapist might kiss you while he is screwing you. The government does not even send a thank you card. They just take your money, waste it, then come back for more. Anything it promises is a total lie. The people who are in office are all corrupt only seeking to keep their positions by increasing their power base.

I have said that Robert Byrd and Teddy Kennedy are the biggest slave owners in the history of the country. These two pushed trillions of dollars of government programs to control the people and put them under their power. The civil rights legislation is a guise to expand the plantation. Isn't it ironic that the government loving liberals in the Senate refuse to allow entrance to a Constitutionally appointed black man like this was 1950? And they have the balls to call other people racist.

Anyway, I am sure the 1 in 5 who cannot read voted for more government programs when they went to the election poll. Everything we heard on the campaign trail was about increasing the government support. Of course, they have done such a marvelous job teaching them to read, why wouldn't they be able to sustain them in other areas. Wake up you fools.

Baltimore Corruption

There is another dirty scoundrel in our presence. The events of the now fabled governor of Illinois resulted in his impeachment today. However, that is not the only filthy trash to emerge. We now have the honorable mayor of Baltimore indicted on 12 counts. Wow, they nailed her on a whole bunch of stuff. (read story here).

Sheila Dixon is now charged with using her position to award favorable contracts to friends and family. Well, if that does not beat all. This is something out of the Huey Long days. I wonder if she was handed money in a plain white envelop in a supermarket parking lot.

This is just another piece of evidence which shows that our leaders cannot be trusted. They are inherently corrupt. If they get into office with a shred of decency, they quickly lose it. Power goes to people's head and we are far too tolerant of this behavior. It is time that action is taken.

What can be done to prevent this? I think the answer is rather simple. People in public office need to be held to a higher accord. If you abuse your position and betray the trust of the people, we are going to abuse you. The answer is to levy sentences so severe it will deter anyone from breaking the law.

How would this work? For Ms. Dixon, a jail sentence of 20-30 years is appropriate. The same goes for that piece of trash governor in Illinois. He deserves to get a life sentence. Make these people pay for their actions. Of course, if we want to get Biblical about things, we could reinstate crucifixion as a penalty. Either way, we need to diminish the likelihood that these rats will keep screwing us over.

At present, Ms. Dixon is denying the allegations. Her people say it is an overzealous job on the prosecutor's part. I remember hearing the Mafia saying the same thing about Rudy Giuliani when he was investigating them. Remember folks, where there is smoke, there is fire. This is not a case of overzealous actions Ms. Dixon. Rather, it is a case that a corrupt rat was placed in a position of power. For that, you ought to be crucified.

Obama Came From This Environment

Chicago cannot get out of the news. Everyday there is something else coming out of the Windy City shows the corruption. As if the Senate seat fiasco was not enough, it now is shown that the school system spent $67,000 on cappuchino machines. So much for educators always screaming for more books and chalk. It appears that coffee is a requirement for teaching our children. (read article here)

What is most absurd about this is that the machines were never used. The money spent on them went totally to waste. Someone evidently cut a sweetheart deal somewhere along the line. I would surmise there was some form of kickback to the decision maker from the salesperson or company that got the contract. I mean, when you compare this to the "selling" a Senate seat, a small kickback would not raise an eyebrow.

The point is that the present President-elect is from this corrupt environment. To believe that he somehow managed to navigate his way through this mess while maintaining his integrity is a bit hard to swallow. This idea is compounded when you consider that Obama not only navigated but, also, excelled in this environment. He knows where "all the dead bodies are".

It is scary to consider that he now has access to trillions of dollars. We all know that Chicago has the reputation of corruption only matched by Louisiana. And, Obama has a number of Chicago personnel in his administration (can anyone say Rohm Emanual). It is my guess that we will not have to wait to long to see how corrupt this administration is. These yoyos will make the Bush administration look transparent.

Remember the time is nearing when this all will come to a head. Get prepared.

The Socialists Are Already At It

What do you get when the present leader of France and Germany and the former leader of Britain together? A socialistic lovefest which would make Karl Marx proud. Today, Sarkozy, Merkel, and Blair all came out to say the United States should join them in the global fight against the economic crisis. (See story here).

These nitwits are proposing a "global set" of rules on how governments across the world interact with their different companies. This is absolutely absurd. Why would we listen to these fruitloops about anything regarding the global financial crisis? When did they become capitalistic experts?

Let me ask you this, what do France, Germany, and Britian all have in common? The answer: their economies were easily surpassed in less than 200 years by a new country even though they were around for thousands of years. We destroyed them economically and now we are suppose to listen to them to solve this crisis. Yeah right.

They reason that no single country can get out of this crisis alone. Wanna bet. The United States could instantly turn it's economy upward in less than 90 days. It is rather simple. We tell the rest of the world to kiss our American ass. Life in America would skyrocket overnight.

How would this work? Instantly, all oil we drill that goes to Japan is used within the states. That allows us to tell the mid-East shieks to screw off. The United States contributes 1/3 of the annual budget to the corrupt United Nations, most of which I am sure is absconded. That would save us hundreds of billions of dollars. At the same time, we stop feeding the rest of the world and keep all our grain and corn here. Over 1 billion people would most likely starve but we would eat well. Finally, all our military support for the nations of the European Union is withdrawn. Let France, Germany, and Britian operate without the veil of protection the United States provides. Someone will run through them like Hitler did in the 1940s. Again, we would save ourselved billions of dollars in wasted money supporting every foreign community where our bases are located.

What would we lose? To start, most of the crap in WalMart will no longer be available. Therefore, the American people would have to learn to live without plastic knick knacks which they do not need to begin with. Other than that, anything that we import could be made here. American manufacturing would blossom. Sorry, no more French wine; we drink only American.

We have a $2 trillion economy. Do not think for one second that we are dependent upon the other nations of the world for our survival. In reality, it is the other way around. There is no nation in Europe who was anywhere close to the power of the United States. To remedy that situation, they created the EU. This ended as a futile attempt to become a "player" against the United States. It failed miserably.

The United States is still the most powerful nation on the planet. We have more ability in this country financially, militarily, and economically than the rest of the world combined. When it comes to determining who is the world leader, there is no dispute. It is not even close. If you doubt this, just look at the current economic crisis. Our housing market caused our economy to tank and we take everyone else in the world down with us. We led them down this hole and it will be the United States that leads everyone out of it.

My message to the three headed monster: thanks but no thanks. We got this one covered.

How is this so Al Gore?

Where is Al Gore to answer this for us? He is the self-appointed global warming expert and now it seems one of the foundations for that argument is fanishing. The alarmists like to point to the disappearing sea ice as proof that global warming is occurring. Oops. Evidently, nature did not follow the argument deciding to increase the sea ice this year. In fact, it is now at the same level it was in 1979.

This all leads me to believe that we are once again being lied to by those in power. Al Gore, ex of the Senate and the Clinton administration, excelled as a politician. Therefore, he is a professional liar. To compound the issue, my research tells me that he pocketed at least $100 million off this hoax. Obviously, he has incentive to keep it going.

Satellite studies show that the recent expansion during the last quarter of 2008 in the sea ice left it at a comparable level to the end of 1979. (read here for full article). According to the story, sea ice is a better indicator of the warming/cooling trend than the anchored ice sheets since it is transient, thus responds faster to change. Therefore, since the ice grew, this reflects a cooling. That is contrary to Al Gore and his cronies.

Of course, we will hear them proclaim that this is all part of it. Over the last few weeks, I really have studied all I could about this issue. While not being a scientist, I read the works of more than I can recall. At first glance there looks like equally qualified people on both sides of the issues. This statement is in direct contrast to those who support global warming. They claim there is "consensus" among all scientists. Common sense dictates this is a false claim since it is impossible to get more than 5 people to agree what type of coffee pot to buy. Consensus does not exist.

So, why are we being lied to? One word: MONEY. Global warming research is a profitable business. Trillions of dollars were spent on research, funding, and other activities to promote this concept. Sadly, from what I can tell, the science does not back up the hypothesis. Man has nothing to do with global warming.

Getting back to the article, I do find the last line interesting:

In May, concerns over disappearing sea ice led the U.S. to officially list the polar bear a threatened species, over objections from experts who claimed the animal's numbers were increasing.

Here is another example where the government leaders decided to take the will into their hands over the wishes of the experts. I wonder who the people would believe: corrupt politicians or experts on polar bears. Certainly the Senators from Georgia and Florida know what is happening with the polar bear population. Perhaps it is time to delist the polar bears since the sea ice is expanding. Their home is now safe.

What do you say Al Gore?

Where is Barney Frank Now?

Barney Frank was the self-appointed member of Congress in charge of avoiding deficits. At least that was the appearance when a Republican was in the White House. Now, with his party in control of everything and in the process of setting record deficits, he is as quite as a church mouse. I wonder if this were the case if McCain had won the election. Somehow I highly doubt it.

Obama and his fellow political thieves (called Congress) are going to run trillion dollar deficits. It is bad enough that this will happen in the first year. Nevertheless, Obama is already paving the way for us to get accustomed to many years of them. Here is an article that describes the President-elects view.

This is ridiculous. The government was the creator of this mess. Name any aspect of it and you will find the government somewhere closely tied to it. Subprime mortgages. It was Congress that started that elephant with the idea that everyone should own a home thus legislating that banks lend to unworthy applicants. The housing boom and eventual bust. Again, the government failed to oversee the practices of the banks and other lending institutions. How about the failure to navigate the economy at a pace that would not create a collapse. Opps. The government again; this time in the form of Alan Greenspan and his mismodeling of the economy.

Shall I continue. Fannie and Freddie? Barney Frank sleeping with the head of that company while it was going bust. The automobile industry? Congress imposed tougher fuel standards for a non-existent global warming problem which created cars nobody wanted. Fraud on Wall Street? Chris Cox and the SEC were asleep at the wheel.

And now we are suppose to believe that the government is going to solve these problems? Somehow I doubt that also. We have a better chance of Barney Frank being quite with a Republican spending money. The leaders in Washington are completely corrupt in addition to being incompetant. Just take the situation with Obama's seat. Harry Reid believes it is the Senate who decides who gets in. He ought to be shot in the right knee for thinking such a thing. What the hell is this, Imperail Russia? A person who was elected/nominated in accordance to his/her states' requirements is qualified to serve. It is the individual state who decides it representation, not Harry Reid.

Once again, those in power prove themselves to be incompetant boobs. Hell, this group of misfits cannot even get their members together without screwing up. And we are suppose to trust them to fix the economy. Yeah right.

The revolution is dedicated to moving us closer to a time when power will be restored to the people. I believe we are moving quickly in that direction. The present United States government is going to implode in the future. Of course, isn't that how every great civilization was taken down? We are just repeating history. I for one cannot wait until the day that the proverbial "crap hits the fan".

History Repeating Itself

Are these times mirroring the Great Depression? For those who remember the onset of that era, it was started by the stock market crash in 1929. After that, there were massive amounts of suicides with people literally tossing themselves out of windows. Recently, we are starting to see similar actions in response to the current financial crisis.

It was reported a week ago that one of Madoff's larger investors committed suicide because of that fraud which cost billions. And, just yesterday, one of the world's richest men, Adolf Merckle, stepped in front of a train thus ending his life. All this because he could not stand to see his financial empire collapsing around him.

Folks, this is just the beginning. We are going to see many more people end their lives over the current state of affairs. Those who get accustomed to "easy street" often cannot handle the prospect of living so luxuriously. We see this in every generation. Financial problems are the cause of many health, marital, and self esteem issues. Being broke for many after having money is worse than never having money at all.

It will be interesting to see if the next few years mirror those of the early 30s. If the first 6 months of this financial crisis is any indication, it seems we are in for similar circumstances.

Wacky World of the Senate

Let me see if I got all this correct. The Senator from Illinois who was legally chosen by the sitting governor of that state is being refused seating by Harry Reid and his cronies. At the same time, Minnesota finally chose a Senator, two months after the election took place. Caroline Kennedy, one with no experience whatsoever if the front runner for Hillary's seat. And, going almost unnoticed is the fact that Joe Biden was sworn in today as Senator, a seat he will resign to become VP. By the way, that seat will be filled by a placeholder until 2010 when his son can take over. Did I miss anything?

Am I the only one who sees something wrong with all this garbage? Minnesota is a prime example of how fraud and deceit are part of the election process (committed on both sides I am sure). Those in power feel a sense of entitlement which leads them to only take those actions which protect their power. As an incumbent, it is almost impossible to get unelected. Everything favors the person holding the position. This is how we have Senators who were first elected decades ago.

The only saving grace is that every screw up by these misfits brings us one step closer to the day where there will be an uprising. It is amazing the threshold that the American people have. However, when that line is crossed, it will not be pretty. Personally, I think we are getting closer to it by the day. The government and those in it are running amok. It is time that we do something. I believe this is the year where people will have to decide where they stand. If you are for the present screwing that you are getting, leave things in place. Yet, if you do not like to support that rest of the worthless pieces of garbage who call themselves citizens, then you will need to take a stand. Our country is going to hell very quickly and everything you are hearing is a bunch of lies.

Wake up America.
